Leddy Group History
Joe Leddy founded Work Opportunities Unlimited in 1982. This organization was established to provide direct employment opportunities for people of varying backgrounds and skill sets. For over 25 years, Work Opportunities Unlimited (WOU) has provided customized community employment opportunities for people of varying backgrounds and skill sets who may benefit from community-based work experiences. WOU contracts with a variety of schools, state and local health, human service, and vocational agencies in Maine, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Maryland, Iowa and Florida.*
In 1994, Joe and his team discovered a need for a quality oriented staffing service and started Leddy Group as a division of Work Opportunities Unlimited. Leddy Group’s initial focus was to provide skilled staffing for the light industrial market. Leddy Group was quickly recognized for its ability to match qualified candidates to each client’s unique needs and the opportunity to expand staffing efforts to the office environment became apparent. In 1995, Leddy Group added front office, accounting and human resource staffing to their placement services.
Leddy Group partnered with FPL Services in 2000 to provide human resource, strategic planning and organizational consulting services. The addition of these services has allowed Leddy Group to provide small and mid-sized clients with resources and solutions to enhance their productivity and their overall success.
Since 1993, Leddy Group has maintained a focus on quality and, as a result, expanded to 5 locations throughout New England. By providing customized solutions, Leddy Group continually strives to be the preferred provider of staffing and human resource consulting services.
